Title: Oral Epidemiology Forum
The Oral Epidemiology (Epi) Forum addresses topics related to oral epidemiology, biostatistics and population oral health. The meeting’s primary focus is to encourage and highlight implementing modern quantitative methods in population health research by bringing together those currently engaged in research conduct, those who are currently in training, and those involved in funding or publishing population health research. The symposium will include a keynote presentation followed by cutting-edge research, works-in-progress and unresolved problems confronting investigators presented by trainees or those recently completing training which typically include methodological issues in oral epidemiology, contributions of oral epidemiology to health policy, theoretical epidemiology, statistical or methodological issues related to oral epidemiology, and ethics.
- To review emerging areas in oral epidemiology and biostatistics as applied to oral health.
- To identify potential solutions to unresolved research problems in ongoing work rigorously implementing epidemiologic and biostatistical methods
- To communicate among oral epidemiologists, biostatisticians, and population health scientists to identify potential areas for research collaboration
