Which sessions should I attend?
The AADR/CADR Annual Meeting & Exhibition is designed to provide a variety of sessions to suit the diverse interests of dental researchers, university Instructors, dental practitioners, dental students, industry representatives and anyone with an interest in oral, craniofacial and dental research at every career level. To help you plan your Annual Meeting activities, descriptions of the types of sessions offered, as well as specific information about this year’s program, are provided in the meeting app and also the printed Program Book (which is inside of your meeting bag). You can use the meeting app to sort by keyword or Scientific Group/Network to narrow down sessions of interest. Also check recommended sessions based upon your Group/Network membership.

 

Where can I find the locations of the session rooms?
Upon checking in at the registration counters, you will receive a Program Book that lists all the session locations. The session rooms are also listed in the meeting app. The AADR Registration Counters are located in the Atrium Loby, Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center.

 

Where can I find the abstracts?
Abstracts can be viewed within the Annual Meeting App or on the online meeting planner.

 

I am having issues with the app. Where can I get help?
For support contact Zerista Support within the app or visit zerista.zendesk.com. Zerista Suport can help with downloading and navigating the app, setting up your profile, password retrieval and general technical support. 

If you are having issues logging in be sure to check the following before contacting zerista support:

  • In 2016/2017, if you attended an IADR or AADR meeting, use the same username and password.
  • If you preregistered for the Annual Meeting, check your email for an invite to the app.
  • If you registered onsite and did not attend any 2016 or 2017 IADR Meetings, you can create a new account

 

I’m attending the AADR/CADR Annual Meeting to give an oral presentation/symposia – where do I check or turn in my presentation slides?
All speakers (oral, symposia and poster discussion) should visit the Speaker Ready Room, located in Room 113 of the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center to provide their PowerPoint presentations to the AV Tech via USB Flash Drive (i.e., memory stick). The Speaker Ready Room will be open during the following hours:

  • Tuesday, March 20 2:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday, March 21 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. (peak usage: 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.)
  • Thursday, March 22 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. (peak usage: 7 a.m. – 12 p.m.)
  • Friday, March 23 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. (peak usage: 7 a.m. – 12 p.m.)
  • Saturday, March 24 7 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.

 

I’m attending the AADR/CADR Annual Meeting to present a poster; do I need to check in? When do I set up/take down my poster?
Yes, you should plan to check in at the AADR Registration Counters and receive your meeting materials (badge, meeting bag and Program Book).

Poster presentations will take place in Hall on the following dates:

Poster set up on each of the days listed above is from 7:30 a.m. – 8 a.m. Posters will be viewed by meeting delegates and then posters must be removed at the times below in the chart on the same day of your presentation.

How do I collect my continuing education credits and/or print my certificate of attendance for the AADR/CADR Annual Meeting?
Computers to log your Continuing Education (CE) credits and also print your certificate of attendance for the AADR/CADR Annual Meeting will be located in the Registration area. All CE credits must be entered online, but a tracking sheet will be provided in the Program Book for you to log your sessions. If you do not have time to visit these computers while at the Annual Meeting, the link to log CE credits and print certificates of attendance will be available on the website at www.iadr.org/2018aaam after the meeting.

Where and when can I pick up my materials for the AADR/CADR Annual Meeting?
Meeting badges and session tickets will be available upon check in at the AADR Registration Counters in Atrium Lobby. Onsite registration hours are listed below:

  • Wednesday, March 21; 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Thursday, March 22; 7 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Friday, March 23; 7 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Saturday, March 24; 7 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

 

When is the Exhibit Hall open?
The Exhibit Hall, located in Hall B/C, will be open during the hours listed below:

  • Thursday: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Friday: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Saturday: 9 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.

Annual Meeting attendees are encouraged to visit the exhibit hall to meet the AADR exhibitors and learn the science and technology behind their products. Meeting badges are required to gain entrance to the Exhibit Hall.

 

What is appropriate attire for the AADR/CADR Annual Meeting?
Attire for the Annual Meeting is business casual. Appropriate wear includes a light jacket, sweater, turtleneck, open-collar or no-collar tops, slacks and comfortable shoes. It is suggested you have a sweater with you since the temperature may be cold in some meeting rooms.

 

Will there be a coat/bag check available?
A coat/bag check will be available for Annual Meeting attendees in the Atrium Lobby, and will be open during the hours listed below:

  • Wednesday, March 21 8 a.m. – 7 p.m.
  • Thursday, March 22 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
  • Friday, March 23 7 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Saturday, March 24 7 a.m. – 1:45 p.m.

 

My family will be attending the AADR/CADR Annual Meeting with me; can they come to the sessions?
Spouses and guests are welcome to register for the Annual Meeting as accompanying persons. Accompanying persons are non-dentists, non-researchers, non-IADR members who may be traveling with a meeting delegate and who have no scientific or educational interest in the meeting. Meeting delegates' students, lab technicians, colleagues, past IADR members, co-authors, dental product company employees, etc., do not qualify as accompanying persons and are required to pay the appropriate registration fee if they wish to attend.

Accompanying persons are not eligible to receive Continuing Education credits and will not receive a certificate of attendance for the meeting.

If your accompanying person wishes to hear your presentation, he or she must register and pay a $55 fee and receive a special color-coded ribbon on site. The ribbon will admit an accompanying person to for one day of the meeting only and will not be honored at any other time during the meeting.

Anyone who wishes to attend more than one day of the meeting is considered to have more than a "personal" interest in dental research and will be required to pay the appropriate registration fee.

Children under 18 years of age may attend the meeting at no cost provided they are accompanied by a registered delegate at all times. Children may access the exhibit hall and poster sessions, but may not attend oral sessions (including Symposia, Hands-on Workshops and Lunch & Learning events). A complimentary accompanying person badge must be requested onsite at the AADR Registration Counters.
