Dr. Yelick is the Director of the Division of Craniofacial and Molecular Genetics in the Department of Orthodontics at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, Boston, USA. She received a B.A. from Smith College and a Ph.D. from Tufts University, before pursuing a postdoctoral research fellowship in molecular biology at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Dr. Yelick started her academic career in the Cytokine Biology Department at the Forsyth Institute and the Harvard School of Dental Medicine before moving to Tufts. Dr. Yelick has made many contributions to the fields of dental tissue engineering and dental stem cells. She has published over 150 papers in these scientific areas, given over 250 lectures on these subjects at IADR and other scientific meetings, mentored many students, been the recipient of many Federal and foundation grants, and has been the recipient of many awards from the dental, oral and craniofacial communities. Dr. Yelick was AADR Treasurer from 2013-16 and the recipient of the 2017 IADR Isaac Schour Memorial Award.
